First Communion

A prayerful year of preparation for children and their families.

Second grade preparation

First Communion preparation is for children in second grade who have completed a year of religious education. First Reconciliation is celebrated in February. First Communion is celebrated at the 11:30am Mass on the first Sunday of May.

Register by September 15. The $45 fee covers the book and retreat morning, and is waived on request. It should never be a reason for a child to stay home.

A simple timeline

  1. Register by September 15.
  2. Participate in religious education through the year.
  3. Celebrate First Reconciliation in February.
  4. Celebrate First Communion in May.
